North Lamar Panthers Were Able to Play Some Spring Break Baseball

The softball team isn't the only team at North Lamar that the weather has played games (pun intended) with this year. With District starting this week, it was important for North Lamar to get some games under their belt during the Spring Break week. The Panthers have only managed nine games so far this season.

North Lamar 3   Little Elm 0

Trey Scudder went 2-4, sparking the Panthers to a 3-0 victory in seven innings over Little Elm on Thursday at Little Elm HS. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

North Lamar senior Ty Jones kept Little Elm off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the rubber. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up three.

The game was never in doubt after the second, as the North Lamar scored two runs on a two-run single by Ashton Chaffin.

Salado 9  North Lamar 1

The North Lamar Panthers fell 9-1 to Salado on Thursday. Kybwz got the win for Salado. He allowed one run over five innings. Kybwz struck out seven, walked one and gave up three hits. Salado's Basham, Wolf, Little and Wilk combined for eight hits and six RBIs.

Matt Gibbons took the loss for the Panthers. He allowed nine runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two. 

Salado added seven more runs in the top of the second. A scored Wilk to get Salado on the board in the inning.

North Lamar's one run of the ballgame came in the third inning on an RBI double by Brayden Steed.
