The North Lamar Panthers played one of their best games of the season Tuesday night at home against Liberty Eylau. The Panther put together four strong quarters on their way to a 62-41 victory.

It was a game that was dominated down low as well. North Lamar’s big men, led by Jake Stewart and Grant Erickson, took over the paint. Stewart almost had a double-double as he finished with eight points but pulled down 16 rebounds. He also had five blocked shots.

The other big man, Erickson, did his part down low as well. Erickson passed the ball with efficiency, blocked out and paved the way for North Lamar to get to the basket.

From the opening tip, North Lamar did what they needed to do to win the ball game. As a team they had five blocked shots and knocked down six from behind the three point line.

North Lamar moves to 1-3 in district play and will begin a three-game road trip in Pittsburg Friday night.
