The Panthers fought back from seven down in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime. However, the comeback couldn't be completed as the Panthers fell to Pittsburg 46-42.
North Lamar struggled offensively in the first half as they only managed 13 points. Defensively, though, they held Pittsburg to only 16 points. Then, in the third quarter, North Lamar fell behind by seven at 31-24.
The Panthers would comeback, though. Thanks to three pointers by Tyler Hill, Josh Daingerfield and Menderiz Gray, North Lamar erased the deficit. The score would be tied at 40 after regulation. In the overtime period, the Panthers could only manage two free throws from Hill. With the loss, North Lamar is now 1-2 in district and will travel to Texarkana on Tuesday to face Pleasant Grove.
