North Lamar played great defense against the Wildcats on Tuesday night. The Panthers held Paris to only 53 points for the game. Unfortunately for North Lamar, they could not muster any offense of their own as they lose 53-39 to their crosstown rival.

North Lamar enjoyed a 10-6 lead with under three minutes to play in the first quarter. It was then that Josh Robinson took over for Paris. The Wildcats would go on a 19-2 run, led by 11 from Robinson.

Trailing 25-12, North Lamar would get the lead down to eight on multiple occasions, but that's as close as they would come. In the end it was too much Robinson and Jalon Pipkins as they scored 44 of the 53 points for Paris High.

With the loss, North Lamar falls to 2-4 in district and will host Atlanta on Friday night. Tip-off will be around 7:30, right after the girls game concludes.
