The North Lamar Pantherettes have been outscored 65-23 in the first half of their three district games. They have outscored their opponents 88-67 in the second half of those games. This includes the 48-41 loss to Atlanta Friday night.

Once again the Pantherettes struggled early in the game, being held to 10 first half points. North Lamar struggled breaking the press early. North Lamar finished with 14 turnovers at the break. J. Farmer of Atlanta had 21 of her game high 32 points in the first half. Nothing went right for the home team.

Flip the page to the second half, though, and it's a different story. North Lamar came out on fire and they looked like a different team. Players like McKayla Figueroa, Madison Morrison and Bailee Nickerson helped bring a spark to the North Lamar team.

Morrison scored 19 of her 21 points in the second frame, including 12 in the fourth quarter. It wasn't enough to help the Pantherettes overcome a 19 point halftime deficit.
