Pantherettes Hang on to Second Place in District with Victory Over LE

The Pantherettes, thanks to a 58-48 victory over Liberty Eylau, put themselves in a great position as they march towards the postseason. North Lamar used a 22-7 run to defeat the visitors from Texarkana.

After only scoring five points in the first quarter, North Lamar rattled off 22 in the second including 12 in a row to end the half. With the game tied at 15, Bailee Nickerson and Madison Morrison fueled the run for North Lamar.

With a 12 point lead, the Pantherettes were able to battle back and forth the rest of the game for the victory. Pantherettes were led in scoring by Madison with 16, while Bailee had 10 rebounds to lead the team. North Lamar will be at home Monday night as they host Paris High.

Madison Morrison - 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, 1 block

Bailee Nickerson - 10 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals

Summer Andrews - 7 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal

Sydnee Prunty - 4 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks

Emma Stewart - 4 points, 2 rebounds

McKayla Figueroa - 3 points, 1 steal
