The last time these two teams met, it took a desperation shot at the buzzer for North Lamar to walk away with the victory. On Monday night, it was a completely different game as North Lamar easily took care of Paris 72-39.

It started early for North Lamar, too. Trailing 6-2 early in the first quarter, the Pantherettes went on a 19-4 run to close out the quarter. They never looked back.

Led by senior Madison Morrison, North Lamar started their run on the defensive side of the ball. The Pantherettes had 20 steals in the game, including eight from Morrison. This led to some easy transition buckets in the first half.

"It's the first time all year that we've put together a complete four quarters of basketball." - coach Harp said after the game.

With the win, North Lamar clinches a playoff berth as they are now 6-2 in district play. The Pantherettes will host Atlanta on Friday at 6 pm. A win over the Lady Rabbits and North Lamar will clinch second place in the district.
