NLHS Brings Attention to Tobacco Use

North Lamar Student Council members teamed up with the Lamar County Tobacco Prevention and Control Coalition to promote the Great American Smokeout.  By placing a banner in the halls of the high school, they hope to reach others by discouraging the use of tobacco products.  The American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout event is a chance to triumph over addiction.  Student Council members shown from left to right are Kevin Dawson, Olivia Stankus, Marli Dority, Cade Shawhart, and Bailey Fowler.
