Bring back medals and a trophy from competing in the Region VIII Science Fair are Stone Middle School students Reese Mobley, Laney Young, Colleen Dawson, Allison Bright, and Parker Freeman.

Five students from Stone Middle School brought home medals after competing in the Region VIII Science Fair that was held in Pittsburg on February 10. 

Eighth grader Allison Bright won first place in the Behavioral/Biological category with her project “Radiation in Your Home”.  Her project also won Best Overall Project for 4th-8th grades.  Seventh graders first place winners were Laney Young in the Behavioral/Biological category with her project “No Germy Toothbrushes” and Reese Mobley in the Physical/Chemical category with his project “Caliber B&B”. 

Third place winners, both competing in the Behavioral/Biological category, were seventh grader Colleen Dawson with her project “Acidic or Alkaline” and eighth grader Parker Freeman with his project “Can Vision Change What We Hear?”
