North Lamar’s Seven Advance to State SkillsUSA Competition

North Lamar High School’s Automobile Technology students, left, and Small Engine Repair students, right, advanced to state after winning at district.


The North Lamar High School Automobile Technology and Small Engine Repair chapters competed at the SkillsUSA District Meet in Waco on February 26-28.  Seven students won district championships and will compete at the State SkillsUSA Competition in Corpus Christi on March 25-29.

Advancing to the state competition in Auto Tech is Emmi Berg, right, who placed first in Diesel Equipment Technology, Stephanie Moody, left, who placed 3rd in Diesel Equipment Technology, and Alfredo Berg, top center, who placed 3rd in Automotive Technology.  Sponsor for the Automobile Technology chapter isJared Reaves.

Students from the Small Engine Repair SkillsUSA Chapter who earned district wins and are to compete at state are Jacob Parson, front left, who placed 1st in Automotive Tool ID, Zach Pettis, top left, who placed 2nd on Outdoor Power Equipment, Lloyd Williams, top right, who placed 1st in Motorcycle Technology, and Hunter Armstrong, front right, who placed 2nd in Auto Tool ID and 3rd in Outdoor Power Equipment.  Billy Copeland is sponsor for the Small Engine Repair chapter.
