The Lorax Visits Parker 1st Graders

Outfitted as Dr. Seuss’s character the Lorax, Aaron Parker first grade teacher Kaye Cooper surprised her students by dressing in costume to read The Lorax to her students.  Using fun images, word plays and rhymes, Dr. Seuss speaks through the Lorax warning against mindless progress and the danger it posed to the earth's natural beauty.  Cooper’s first graders were later treated to green eggs and ham prepared by the Lorax after first reading Seuss’sGreen Eggs and Ham.
