Carly Cooper, a 6th grader at Stone Middle School, has been selected to participate in a once in a lifetime event call “The Celebrity Experience” this summer in Los Angeles, California.

Cooper was one of 400 who auditioned earlier this year before a panel of judges in Irving, Texas.  She was given a commercial to read then sang a couple of songs that grabbed the attention of the judges who then extended an invitation to her and five others to go to Hollywood this summer.

The Celebrity Experience is a five day event filled with exciting opportunities for the participant where they will have VIP access to visit and record a demo reel at the Universal Studios Back Lot, rehearse scenes, monologues and commercials with teen celebrities, network with over 25 industry agents, managers, casting directors, be judged on their performances, and attend a red carpet celebrity attended gala and awards show where the participants will be rewarded for their performances.

Participants are required to pay a $5,000 fee.  Cooper and her mother, Nicole Dorsey, are seeking contributions of any amount to help meet the cost.  An account has been set up at First Federal Bank under The Celebrity Experience on behalf of Carly Cooper.
