The North Lamar High School Colorguard continued their successful spring season with a second consecutive third place finish at the North Texas Color Guard Association State finals.

The squad began their season in Regional A classification on February 21 at Mansfield High School. There the group earned first place in their class out of 20 other guards and was promoted up to Scholastic A.

The squad went on to compete at the NTCA contest in Denton on March 27 where they earned another second place finish out of thirteen guards.  Their state championship performance followed on April 11 at Birdview High School.  It was here they earned their second consecutive third place finish in Scholastic A at the state championships.  Their show was titled “In His Presence” and was based on the Lord’s Prayer sung by Andrea Bocelli.  The North Lamar Colorguard is under the direction of Donna Smith.
