Kids Marathon Produces Healthy Students

North Lamar students joined others from across the county to participate in the Kids Marathon event that focused on health and nutrition.  Between March 2 to May 4, students logged a minimum of 25 miles that they either ran or walked.  During this time they received newsletters with tips on nutrition.  After completing their designated miles, the students attended the finale event on May 4 at the Love Civic Center Sports Complex Pavilion.

The Kids Marathon is a family supported activity with encouragement and support from the PE classes at school.  Participants from North Lamar Independent School District were:
