Paris, TX, Friday, May 29, 2015 – Summer 2015 is full of planned activities for students of all ages at North Lamar. Coaches have been busy organizing camps to involve students as young as kindergarten to those in high school. Additionally, the Fine Arts Department is offering a drama class paired with an art class. Below is a list of the summer camps. North Lamar Soccer Camp
Date: June 8-10
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Ages: For students entering grades K-6
Cost: $40 includes a T-shirt
Location: NL practice fields by the tennis courts
North Lamar Boys’ Basketball Camp
Date: June 8-11
Time: 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. (Grades K-2)
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Grades 3-5)
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Grades 6-8)
Ages: For boys completing grades K-8
Cost: $35 (Grades K-2) includes a T-shirt, $40 after June 8
$45 (Grades 3-8) includes a T-shirt, $50 after June 8
Family rates are $70 for 2 or $90 for 3 or more
Location: North Lamar High School Gym
Description: Coaches with the assistance of Panther basketball players will focus on
perfecting basic game skills giving athletes an up on the game.
NL Pantherette Basketball Academy
Date: June 15-18
Time: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. (Grades 3-5)
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Grades 6-9)
Ages: For girls entering grades 3-9
Cost: $40 (Grades 3-5) includes a T-shirt
$60 (Grades 6-9) includes a T-shirt
Registration deadline is June 5.
Location: North Lamar High School Gym
Description: Designed to improve shooting, passing, ball handling, and offensive skills.
NL Panther Baseball Camp
Date: June 16-17 (Grades K-3)
June 18-19 (Grades 4-8)
Time: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. (Grades K-1)
12:00 – 2:00 p.m. (Grades 2-3)
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Grades 4-6)
1:00 – 4:00 p.m. (Grades 6*-8)
*Optional 6th grade sessions to best meet student’s knowledge and skill level.

Location: North Lamar Athletic Facility
Description: Athletes will develop mental toughness, strength, power, flexibility, speed
and agility while learning proper technique, good nutrition, and overall healthy living habits.
North Lamar Football Camp
Date: July 6-9
Time: 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. (The weight room will be available each day after camp.)
Ages: For boys entering grades 7-9
Cost: $40 includes camp T-shirt
Location: North Lamar Indoor Facility
Description: Basic football instruction including fundamentals and skills will be taught. Specific North Lamar offensive and defensive concepts will be included and taught by the NL coaching staff. This camp will allow athletes to get a jump start on their upcoming season allowing them to be better prepared to compete.
North Lamar Kids Art & Theatre Camp
Date: July 13-17
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
Ages: Kids ages 8-13
Location: North Lamar High School
Description: Students will enjoy drawing, painting, and working with clay then will work
on a play production to be performed before an audience of family and friends on Friday evening.
North Lamar Volleyball Camp
Date: July 20-22 (Grades 4-6)

Time: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. (Grades 4-6)
