School NewsGreg Higgins

Bailey Intermediate’s ‘Animals Are Us’ JUMP group recently raised $300.25 for the Lamar County Humane Association by selling chances for Principal Angela Compton to kiss a snake.

Every student at Bailey is involved in one of the JUMP (Journey of Unlocking My Potential) groups.  Students in the ‘Animals Are Us’ group have a common interest in learning about animals and wanted to raise money for a non-profit that cared for animals.

Students in the Animals Are Us group with their facilitators beginning front row left are Heather Garrett, Raynie Lewis, Jace Brown, Holly Webb and Aurora Frazier; second row,

Principal Compton, facilitator Karen Johnson, Kaci Bates, Garritt Faulkner, Carson Holzworth, Mara McEntyre and Alainia Gentry; back row, Rylee Adams, Michael Wilson and facilitator Michelle Brazeal.
