North Lamar’s Conway Advances to State HOSA Competition

North Lamar High School senior, Rae Conway, advanced to state after placing second at area in Clinical Nursing on Friday, February 19 at R.L. Turner High School in Carrolton.   The State HOSA Competition will be held April 14-16 in Galveston. 

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is an international student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.  The goal for HOSA is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved.  The organization provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation and recognition for students enrolled in Health Science Technology.  Students in HOSA compete in local, state and national competitions.  North Lamar’s HOSA sponsor is Kristi Garner.
