NLHS Competes at Sulphur Springs UIL Academic Meet

North Lamar High School’s UIL Academic Team competed against 41 other teams at a meet hosted by Sulphur Springs High School on Saturday, February 27.

The Literacy Criticism Team received first place.  Contributing members include Brittany Pilkington, first place; Rael Memnon, second place, Jess Chollet, third place; Kyra Conlin, fourth place; and Taylor White, seventh place.  In science Takeyah Griffin placed second, Heather Armstrong placed third, and Rex Tuttle placed fourth.  In accounting, Armstrong placed fourth in calculator, sixth in math, and sixth in number sense, and Chollet placed third in calculator and fifth in math.
