On Wednesday, May 18, North Lamar High School will have a MOCK WRECK. This is an event designed to dramatically instill teenagers with the potentially dangerous consequences of drinking while driving. It is the hope that this will challenge students to think about drinking, texting while driving, personal safety and the responsibility of making mature decisions when lives are involved. There will be a morning session beginning at 9:50 a.m. for the juniors and seniors and an afternoon session for the freshmen and sophomores beginning at 1:30 p.m. The mock wreck dramatization will include an ambulance, hearse, DPS, Fire truck and a care flight helicopter.
