It was a game in which one goal would decide the outcome. The North Lamar Pantherettes and Paris Lady Cats had a defensive battle at Wildcat stadium Tuesday night.

Luckily for North Lamar it was Karlee Alexander who provided the lone goal of the game. The Pantherette offense had been pressing for much of the first half but could not capitalize.

With just over two minutes to play, though, Peyton Flemming found Karlee sprinting towards the goal. The ball left Alexander's foot and sailed just over the outstretched hand of the keeper and into the back of the net.

The defense would take over for North Lamar as Paris tried to get the equalizer. However they had a hard time sustaining any offense. Paris only managed four shots for the game. None of which challenged goalie Shaina Brown.

With the win North Lamar finished 2nd in district behind Princeton. Paris finished third followed by Bonham.
