NL Soccer Garners District Accolades

The soccer season for both NL varsity squads was capped off recently with multiple District 11-4A honors. Coming off a 2nd place district finish behind Princeton, the Pantherettes earned 8 All-District spots. Most notably senior Daisy Rangel was named Offensive MVP.  Rangel had 12 goals this year and was also named to the All District 1st Team at Forward. Joining her on the first team are seniors  Katie Kilcrease and Savannah Moore (Defense) and senior Karlee Alexander (Midfielder).

Four Pantherette juniors were named to the 2nd Team.  Brittany Nichols (Defense), Madison Morrison (Forward) and Karlie Ewell and Olivia Reader (Midfielder) rounded out the NL selections.

After finishing 4th in district, the NL boys squad received multiple District 11-4A honors as well. Zach Figueroa received Newcomer of the Year honors in his freshman year.  All District 1st Team   honors were received by seniors, Ryan Cody and Grant Erickson and by junior, Korbin Peralta.

The Panthers had three 2nd Team selections as well with senior Garret Douglas, junior Christian Stockton and freshman Kshatiz Basnet joining their teammates on the honor squad. 

Congratulations to these players for all they accomplished this year, and to coaches Aaron Welch and Duanna Ewell for the outstanding work they do with these student-athletes.
