Pantherettes Use Huge Fourth Inning to Power Past Paris High

A 15-run explosion in the fourth inning carried the North Lamar Pantheretts to a 24-2 win in five innings over Paris on Tuesday. North Lamar scored in the fourth on a passed ball, a two-run single by Erin Scholl, a wild pitch, a groundout by Reagan Richardson, a two-run single by Madison Morrison, an RBI double by Bailee Nickerson, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Jaycie McEwin, a bases loaded walk by Harmony Harris, a hit by pitch, a two-run single by Richardson, and a fielder's choice.

The Pantheretts took the lead in the second inning and held on for the victory. North Lamar scored on a two-run triple by Morrison off Harris, plating Kayla Igleheart and Richardson. Morrison racked up five RBIs on three hits for North Lamar. 

The top of the first saw North Lamar Pantheretts Varsity take an early lead, 1-0. A single by Nickerson, scoring Morrison started the inning off. North Lamar is now 8-1 in district play and will host Pleasant Grove on Friday night for Senior Night. Pleasant Grove knocked off Atlanta Tuesday 2-1, which put North Lamar in sole possession of first place.
