North Lamar Head Softball Coach Jimmy Fendley and the Pantherettes invited six year old Aaron Parker student Aiden Walters and his mother, Amber Young, to have pizza with them on Thursday.  Team members presented the two with a $3,600 check from the proceeds they earned at a barbecue benefit for Aiden on April 10.  The money is to help with the many expenses the family has incurred during Aiden’s aggressive treatment of Burkitt Lymphoma.  “I would just like to thank all the people that came out and ate some barbecue,” said Fendley.  “Also, to the businesses and people that donated money and food to make it happen.”

Lime green ‘Aiden Tees’ designed by Paris Print Works blanketed the community on April 10 and later that evening at the barbecue benefit on North Lamar’s softball field in support of little Aiden.  The support was so overwhelming that another Aiden T-shirt day has been set for Friday, May 8.  Paris Print Works will be taking T-shirt orders online at http://parisprintworks.com/support_aiden and in their office until Tuesday, April 28.  Orders will be ready Monday, May 4.
