Usually it takes a team some time to adjust to new players and get acclimated to each other. This wasn't the case for the North Lamar Pantherette Softball team this past weekend as they went 6-0 in Lindale. Not only did they go undefeated, they outscored their opponents 55-5 and had three shutout victories.

North Lamar - 15    Groesbeck - 1

It helps when you put up a four-spot in the top of the first inning and that's exactly what North Lamar did against Groesbeck. It also helps when Reagen Richardson is pitching with a 4-0 lead. Reagan threw a no-hitter in the victory. She struck out eight batters and walked none.

Nine runs in the first three innings helped Pantherettes blow out Groesbeck. A groundout by Bailee Nickerson, an RBI double by Jaycie McEwin, an RBI double by Bailey Jones, and a passed ball during the first inning supplied the early offense for Pantherettes.

Pantherettes tacked on another five runs in the third. The inning got off to a hot start when Summer Andrews singled, scoring McEwin. That was followed up by Hannah Clark's single, bringing home Lauren Hodges.

Pantherettes added six more runs in the top of the fifth. Madison Morrison's single got things going, plating Andrews. That was followed up by Nickerson's single, scoring McKayla Figueroa.
