With a week until district play starts, the North Lamar Pantherettes seem to be firing on all cylinders. The game against Melissa was no exception for North Lamar as they defeated the visiting team 10-0 in five innings.

North Lamar scored 10 runs but they only needed one. Reagan Richardson was brilliant inside the circle for North Lamar. Of the 12 batters she faced, she struck out 10 of them. The other two were thrown out at first trying to bunt their way on base. Reagan used an array of pitches to confuse the Lady Cardinals.

Brooke Collard came in and closed out the game for North Lamar. She faced four batters and allowed one hit while striking out two.

The bulk of the offense came in the second inning as North Lamar scored eight runs. Bill Jones got the scoring started as she hit a three-run bomb over the left field fence. Erin Scholl and Jaycie McEwin scored on the homer.

Richardson would single McKayla Figueroa. She would then score when Scholl singled to left. Summer Andrews would double to score Bailee Nickerson, who was hit by a pitch, and Scholl. The score would remain 8-0 until the bottom of the 5th when Lauren Hodges and Bill would score to end the game. Hodges doubled off the wall in left field. Groundouts by Madison Morrison and Collard would plate the two runs and end the game.
