For the third time in district and the second time against Atlanta, the North Lamar Pantherettes lost a softball game. Having lost 3-1 in Atlanta earlier this season, North Lamar fell 5-4 on Tuesday night.
Erin Scholl did what she could to try and help bring a victory as she belted two home runs for North Lamar. Even though they were both solo shots, it was much needed offense for North Lamar.
Defensively, the Pantherettes struggled as they committed six errors in the field which led to two unearned runs for Atlanta. Reagan Richardson took the loss for North Lamar as she went the distance in the circle. She struck out seven and walked one for North Lamar while giving up five runs. Three of the runs were earned, however.
With the loss, the Pantherettes are 5-3 in district. North Lamar will try to bounce back on Friday as they host the Paris Lady Cats for senior night. They will then close out the regular season on the road against Pleasant Grove.
