The North Lamar Pantherettes (6-1) welcomed the Denison Yellow Jackets in to Pantherette gym. North Lamar, then, sent them back home after a 3-1 win. North Lamar's only hiccup in the contest came in the second set. The other three were dominated by the Pantherettes as they won 25-12, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-19.
Coach Kathy Barker called Denison "scrappy" and was please with how her team fought back after the loss in set two.
Leading the way for North Lamar on the offensive side was Karlie Ewell, who had 12 kills. Bailey Foy finished with 11 while Bill Jones had eight for North Lamar. Kayla Igleheart led the team with 23 assists on the night.
"[The team] fixed what we worked on yesterday," coach Barker said after the game. "There was some things that we did not do very well on Saturday....those things were corrected today."
